It's giving glory to God in all that we are doing whether it is washing up, doing the house work, walking the dog, looking after the kids, riding your bike, the list could go on and on....... it's all about doing these things not for ourselves but for God. Doing them the best you can to say 'God you gave me this life I thank you for it by living and doing the things I need to the best I can'.

Worship can be an act of kindness or something extra ordinary that you do, think about Noah - he built an ark in the middle of the dessert and took a lot of stick from the people around him, what an act of worship to God that was, doing exactly as he was asked to do without moaning about it.

These is then 'Creative worship' this is taking some time out from everyday life to express your love for God in different ways like, playing music, drawing a picture, dancing, singing, making a model or reading a book. There is a guitarist in our church who can do some of the best guitar solo's I've heard. His solo's and playing for him sing more words than he himself could sing as this is his way of expressing his love and thanks to God.

And finally sung worship on a Sunday, this is when we all come together as a church and sing songs of thanks, praise, belonging and acceptance etc etc, where together we can lift the name of our saviour higher and higher.

So really worship is so much more than just singing a song......

Next time you are doing something try giving thanks to God while doing it, (remember God likes it so much more when you do the little things which go unnoticed by everyone else as these to him a big acts of worship.)

Jesus Sends out the 72

My first thoughts are on Luke 10.

I read this just the other day and it has been on my mind ever since.

Jesus sends out the 72. 72 people to go ahead of him into towns and villages to preach and heal. From one version of the bible it says he gave them more power than Satan!

How amazing is this, 72 people have gone out into the world to work miracles and to preach Gods word without knowing what is going to happen.

What amazes me more is that we in this day and age know all that went on but still have little faith and do not do much for God. If we know that God can take care of our every need why do we spend so much time worrying about what we don't have and what we need.

Also if it were that Jesus gave these 72 people more power than Satan I wonder if they knew they had and what else they might have done/achieved
